SHOULD WE STAY, OR SHOULD WE GO?

This is the question we keep asking. We have mixed feeling about when to leave the Bahamas for Florida. We want to leave enough time to spend a couple of nights at Norman's Cay but also leave enough time so we can swing by The Berry's, another island chain we have not seen.

Paul had to pull the jets out and clean them out of our portable generator. This entailed alot of pieces coming off and back on. There is a reason why it is "portable", everything is tight in place and hard to access.

When the last lock down was over we dinghyed over to Samson Cay just to hang on the sandbar by ourselves. The blues are so incredible there.

When there are two men (Pete and Paul) that are having birthdays within days of each other.... then it is a party! P can stand for their names or for Party! There were 7 of us on the top deck celebrating and sharing stories. There were Canadians, Italian, British and American. Boat life is great!

Every sunset is special down here. Loved this one last week.

A normal season here at Staniel Cay there would be hundreds of tourists visiting the famous swimming pigs here at Big Major. They come from Nassau on day trips or even Georgetown, further south. These pigs swim out and love to be petted and fed. Probably fed more than being petted or getting selfies with. These pigs may be enjoying the wild life now or missing the action, who knows what goes on in a pigs mind. These fellows thought we were bringing food, we did not. I just thought I could capture a photo without tourists in the background. These pigs are treasured here and are fet daily by the locals. They are a major tourist attraction. An excursion for 1 day from Nassau could be $1000 per person... includes lunch!

We will decide soon when we leave. The best time would be after we go to the 3 shops on island to replenish our produce. We miss all our family and friends so by the time we get back to Canada and do our 14 day quarantine, we may be able to see everyone.

Thoughts will change and shift just like the wind and the water when you're on the boat; thoughts are no different than anything else.     Jeff Bridges
