TIME OUT FOR CHRISTMAS

We celebrated with our family in November and now we are here in Florida for Christmas. This is our first Christmas not with family. We are not alone, many around the world are not with their families. We have been getting little projects completed as the plan is to travel to the Exumas as we always do. This post is not a very exciting post but Paul would like a diary of sorts every year so I feel I might regret not posting now and again of our projects and activities.

One major problem but little fix was the barbeque burner. The one on the left is a brand new one and the other two pieces is what the burner we had looked like. No wonder the barbeque needed a new burner!

We picked up two more solar panels and had to take the others down to rearrange them. This way we have six panels above our bimini top instead of the four. This will make a difference.

Some days we see dolphins around the marina and we know there are manatee. Trying to see the manatee is another story. I paddleboard around the marina and still the manatee are rare to see. Two weeks ago this mom and baby were around for a few days. Everyone got very excited. It is almost freezing here in Florida so these manatee need to keep warm.

no words necessary

Champagne and orange juice for breakfast but too lazy to put back in fridge upstairs..... hmmm, lets do a Canadian thing, put the bottles outside on cockpit, it is so cold out there it is colder than the fridge. This is not a joke. This is the coldest Christmas in Florida in the last 20 years.

I painted my shells and rocks for a couple of weeks to hide in the marina and to give away to others here on the docks. Everyone loves the thrill of finding a rock along the dock or gardens.
