BAHAMAS 2022 HERE WE COME

We have been busy since we arrived late November, lithium batteries, outfitting our dinghy with steering console, provisioning and time for seeing friends over Christmas. We are below the water line and hunkered down in an anchorage near Miami waiting to cross the Gulf Stream to Bimini. Our usual route but one we know well since this is our eighth time! It is so hard to believe that.

In December we got our bottom painted.

Our props and rudder look amazing!

While at the boat yard we had a brand new dinghy delivered and this is such a treat because this one has a centre console steering wheel. Paul even installed a small fresh water shower on board. Paul was speeding for only about 100 yards in a channel and he was stopped by authorities. Thank goodness he was wearing a Police shirt, it helped.  We were only out testing the dinghy for a short distance from marina and it wasn't registered yet with the State of Florida.

We took the dinghy with friends to a little waterfront cafe for lunch. This pelican thought we were finished fishing and may have scraps. He gave up.

Not all our posts are blue clear waters but soon we hope to post those kind of photos.
