GOOD BYE TO EXUMAS

Thursday we left Norman's Cay, one of our favourite islands. We enjoyed the mangroves and the snorkeling. I even paddleboarded. It was cloudy the whole time with high winds. There is a multimillion dollar investment happening at Norman's Cay. A super yacht marina is progressing along. Two years ago was when we saw the beginning of the construction, no building yet just the massive docks and seawalls.

We like the birds but not what these birds leave behind! They seem to love our outboard motor alot.

We are in Nassau now. We had a problem on the north side of Rose Island on Friday morning. There will be a post very soon about that! Stay tuned.

MANGO MASH

Found a wild mango tree on our way to the Blue Store to get provisions. A local gave us a mango a few days ago and today we took a few more. I make a great mango salsa and Paul makes a fruit salad.

There is a community gazebo that the people on Staniel Cay use for barbeques. This arrived new last week.

Hmmmmm....are they roasting pigs that are swimming on Pig Beach?

Windy with always a chance of rain. Weather has not been what is normal down here at this time of year.

Bought our last provisions today. Will head north once weather is in our favour.

DEAD LAPTOP!

Okay, I am finished trying to get this old laptop to work and just post from this phone of mine. It has been super windy with rain showers on and off all week. Last night while sleeping winds and waves came in and it was super rough. Just very uncomfortable. I came up to lock the cupboards as I thought some may actually open. Today is going to be an excellent day weather wise and the next few. We have guests arriving Thursday.

When raining I paint!

After it rains, always a rainbow of colours!

Can't get tired of the beautiful sunsets

We don't like to run the generator if we don't need to. We have electric stove so if I want to cook for just a short time bring out our Butane burner. Cook out in the cockpit so inside doesn't get hot. Previous years we would start the generator so I could cook/boil/fry something.
